Tokyo - Rest Day

Originally many of us had planned to sign up with Kazu for a bike tour of Tokyo.  Mother Nature had other ideas.  The typhoon did indeed move in over night.  Nothing much on the agenda until this evening.  It has been raining quite hard, although it did let up a bit around noon.  I headed out for something to eat around 2 and of course that's when it really picked up again.  Sounds like Calgary had a little typhoon of its own - over 100 mm of rain in the last three days; 45 cm of snow at Highwood Pass.  Oh well - a good day to sleep in, catch up on the blog, and really do some resting on a rest day.  There really isn't too much else I want to see in Tokyo anyway, although it sounds like there are some nice museums about.  Off to a sumo "experience" tonight.........

Well, that was fun.............  Fourteen of us went off to Sumoland for a 2 hour Sumo experience - dinner and show.

Some of our folks were really good sports and got into the ring with the professionals.  Lots of laughs.

There was a family there with about four little girls.  They didn't hesitate to take on the big guys; very cute!

A tourist trap for sure, but good laughs all around.

Last night in Tokyo.  The storm has blown through, and we bus outta here tomorrow.
